Job summary

The post requires a registered nurse or an ODP with teaching/assessing qualifications and a track record in clinical governance, education and service development within the NHS.

Qualifications

• Evidence of clinical leadership and multidisciplinary team working with excellent communication skills.
• Teaching/assessing qualification is essential; leadership certification desirable.
• Experience in peri-operative settings and managing theatre services.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 4-theatre perioperative unit with 70% non-clinical management and 30% clinical duties.
• Manage staffing, capacity and resources to ensure safe and efficient theatre operations.
• Provide staff development, drive service improvements and contribute to patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with Matron/Theatre Manager and senior management to deliver governance and financial objectives.
