Job summary

Sur Wellness in Glasgow invites an experienced Theatre Manager to lead our day surgery and theatre services within our private hospital. This clinical leadership role combines perioperative expertise with people management and governance to ensure safe, efficient surgical delivery.

You will oversee daily theatre operations, collaborate with consultants and nursing teams, manage staffing and budgets, and drive continuous improvement to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Significant senior perioperative experience within a theatre or day surgery environment.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
• Solid knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the theatre team across specialties.
• Oversee safe and efficient theatre lists and day surgery activity.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and perioperative care.
• Collaborate with consultants, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage staffing, rotas, resources and equipment.
• Support theatre utilisation and adapt to changing workloads.
• Oversee governance, risk management and infection prevention.
• Lead clinical audits, incident reviews and quality improvement.
• Review care programmes to ensure safe patient delivery.
• Contribute to financial, budget and resource management.
• Develop policies that support clinical excellence.
• Foster a positive, professional working environment.
