The Sugar Mill in Bourne is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead from the front, drive sales and deliver outstanding hospitality. You’ll manage all aspects of the pub, inspire a talented team, and embed a customer-centric approach in a high-volume, community-focused business.

With a strong food focus and regular engagement in local events, you’ll grow weekend and midweek trade while upholding Marston’s standards.

We're looking for a General Manager for The Sugar Mill. Salary up to £45,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

About the pub

The Sugar Mill is a popular, family-friendly pub at the heart of the Bourne community, known for delivering great food, a warm welcome and memorable experiences for guests of all ages. With average weekly sales of £32,500, a strong food focus (60% food / 40% wet) and around 1,500 covers served each week, this is a well-established business with a loyal customer base. Regular family fun days and community events help drive footfall, making the pub a true destination venue within the area.

We're looking for an experienced General Manager who can lead from the front, inspire a talented team and continue to build on the pub's success. Alongside a thriving food offer, the Sugar Mill enjoys a busy social scene with quizzes, pool, darts and evening entertainment that keep guests coming back throughout the week. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded leader who is passionate about hospitality, guest experience and growing sales in a high-volume, community-focused business.
