Position Overview

A new luxury lodge resort at Chester Zoo opening in August 2025 seeks an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead the team and develop the hotel’s service standards.

The Role

Oversee daily F&B operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and contribute to the resort’s success.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the F&B team to deliver outstanding service
• Manage operations focusing on service quality, efficiency, and profitability
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to curate menus and service offerings
• Handle stock, budgets, rotas, and compliance with health & safety standards
• Enhance guest feedback and team engagement to evolve service culture

Candidate Requirements

• Proven leadership in high-end hotel or restaurant F&B management
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills
• Ability to remain calm and proactive under pressure

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience managing and developing F&B teams
• Knowledge of F&B operations, service standards, and guest experience
• Experience with inventory, cost control, and budgeting
• Skills in managing rotas, stock ordering, compliance, and audits
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and licensing laws
• Experience with health & safety practices, allergen management, and training
• Familiarity with POS, stock control software, and booking platforms
