Job Opportunity: Teacher of Art/Textiles/Design & Technology

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Art, Textiles, and/or Design & Technology (D&T) to join a wonderful school based in Hillingdon/Uxbridge, West London.

The successful candidate will teach art, textiles, and/or D&T across all secondary years up to Year 11. GCSE courses are a popular choice within a growing and well-resourced department.

Start Date: September 2024

Position: Textiles Teacher (Key Stages 3-4)

Contract: Full-time, £150 - £255 per day (Pay to scale)

Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Plan and prepare lessons to a high standard, using diverse delivery methods to facilitate student learning
  • Create a supportive learning environment enabling all students to reach their potential
  • Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and attainment, maintaining accurate records
  • Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including recording accurate data
  • Manage student behaviour in line with the School Behaviour Policy
