Job summary

RTX in the United Kingdom is seeking a Test Technician for the Customer Support Centre in Harlow. You will test and diagnose legacy and new electronic assemblies, down to component level, using specialist test equipment and old drawings/documentation when needed.

You will ensure product quality, meet contractual turn-around times, and support investigations while documenting results and contributing to efficiency improvements in the test area.

Qualifications

• ONC/BTEC5 in electronics or equivalent is required.
• Experience testing and diagnosing complex analogue and digital electronic assemblies, including RF (>1 GHz).
• Ability to set up and utilize various types of lab equipment for manual production test and debugging.
• Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and communicate circuit functionality effectively.
• Ability to work to production schedules and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Test and diagnose new and legacy electronic assemblies down to component level and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform functional testing of assemblies to contractual, quality and schedule requirements.
• Diagnose test equipment related faults.
• Execute preventative maintenance and calibration plans for test equipment.
• Record accurate test records and provide yield/failure reports.
• Assist engineering with investigations and initiatives.
• Aid continual improvement of efficiency in designated test areas.
