Job title: Test Technician

Pay rate: £300 per day (Umbrella)

Job type: 6 month contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Test Technician to join a leading manufacturing business based in Towcester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electronics professional with a strong background in fault finding, RF testing, and manufacturing environments.

The Role

As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for the testing, diagnosis, and repair of complex electronic products, ensuring high levels of quality and reliability. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of Test Technician:

• Fault finding and diagnosis to component level on analogue and digital electronic products.
• Testing and troubleshooting using a variety of RF test equipment.
• Supporting the setup, tuning, and optimisation of RF power amplifiers.
• Identifying and resolving production and test-related issues.
• Working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to improve product quality and test processes.
• Contributing to continuous improvement activities across the production environment.

Required Experience for this Test Technician position

• Proven experience fault finding to component level on analogue and digital electronics.
• Strong working knowledge of RF test equipment, including:
  
  • Network Analysers
  • Spectrum Analysers
  • Power Meters
  • Signal Generators
  • Associated RF test equipment
• Experience of RF power amplifier setup and tuning.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing test environment.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
