Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Test Technician to join its electronics manufacturing operation in Bedford. You will perform functional testing of electronic assemblies, PCBs and finished products, diagnose faults to component level and record results and actions in line with company procedures.

You'll work with oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, spectrum analysers and power supplies, liaising with engineering and production teams to resolve issues while adhering to quality, ESD and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic test based work.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators and power supplies.
• Attention to detail and methodical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in electronic test based work
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills to component level.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience using:
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Digital multimeters (DMM)
  • Signal/function generators
  • Bench power supplies
  • Logic analysers (desirable)
• Good attention to detail and methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Info

• Hours: 0800-1645 Mon-Thurs, plus Fri 0800-1230.
• Start Date: ASAP
