Job summary

Proactive Global in Bedford is seeking a Test Technician for an electronics manufacturer. You will perform functional testing on assemblies and PCBs, diagnose faults to component level, and use test equipment to record results and drive improvements.

The role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and adherence to quality, ESD and safety standards. Start date ASAP.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electronic test based work.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience using Oscilloscopes, Digital multimeters (DMM), Signal/function generators, Bench power supplies, Logic analysers.
• Good attention to detail and methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Test Technician Required to work for electronics manufacturer Based in Bedford

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies, PCBs, and finished products.
• Diagnose and fault-find down to component level on analogue and digital electronic circuits.
• Use test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analysers, and power supplies.
• Record test results, repair actions, and non-conformances in accordance with company procedures.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
• Liaise with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all work complies with quality standards, ESD procedures, and health and safety requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in electronic test based work
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills to component level.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience using: Oscilloscopes, Digital multimeters (DMM), Signal/function generators, Bench power supplies, Logic analysers (desirable)
• Good attention to detail and methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
