Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Solihull is seeking a Test Systems Engineer to lead control and instrumentation across test rigs and facilities. You will work in a multidiscipline team delivering bespoke systems from requirements capture to commissioning, with a focus on safety, ATEX readiness and performance under tight timescales.

Applicants should hold a degree in a relevant discipline and have test applications experience, plus familiarity with instrumentation, safety PLCs and general control systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
• Experience of working in test applications.
• Experience with instrumentation measurement systems and safety-related control systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver defined technical packages and control/ instrumentation systems from requirements to commissioning.
• Write concise requirements and specifications aligned with systems engineering.
• Develop bespoke control, instrumentation and safety system designs for test facilities.
• Lead onsite commissioning and handover to test operations teams.
