Job summary

Leonardo UK is hiring a Test Solution Design Engineer at our Edinburgh site. You will design, develop and integrate electronic test solutions for radar programmes and defence platforms, including work on Eurofighter Typhoon hardware. Salary: £44,000 to £71,400.

The role is permanent with hybrid working. It is subject to pre-employment BPSS screening and potential National Security Vetting. You will mentor engineers, produce design documentation, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience across the full design life-cycle.
• Experience working with electronics hardware.
• Experience working with Test solutions.
• Experience with integration, verification and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and delivery of test solutions within a defined work package area.
• Capture, analyse and mature stakeholder needs to determine optimum technical approaches.
• Design and development of electronic hardware solutions across the full design lifecycle.
• Produce high-quality design documentation and technical reports with configuration control.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment.
• Contribute to solving technical issues and mitigating risks.
• Develop, coach, and upskill engineers within the team.
