Location and Security Clearance

This role is based on-site in Reading, requiring five days a week in the office. Applicants must be UK nationals and either hold or be willing to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) to Security Check (SC) level.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support and test a secure, enterprise-grade web application in a mission-critical environment.
2. Author detailed test scripts for new releases and run diagnostic SQL scripts.
3. Manage incidents, ensure SLAs are met, and maintain application quality through structured testing.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders, track incidents, provide updates, and ensure timely resolution.
5. Lead and mentor a small team of support and test engineers, fostering a collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Logging and managing customer-reported incidents.
• Creating and executing test scripts and SQL diagnostic scripts.
• Monitoring KPIs and driving incident resolution.
• Supporting team leadership and onsite work in Reading.

Required Qualifications

• Strong background in application support and software testing, especially in secure or regulated environments.
• Experience with web-based systems testing, test case creation, and SQL queries.
• Leadership experience managing or mentoring junior engineers.
• Familiarity with incident management and KPI tracking.
• UK national with SC clearance or eligibility/willingness to obtain it.
• Ability to work five days onsite in Reading.
