Technology Programme Test Manager - 6-month initial contract - day rate negotiable - Hybrid working

We have an exciting opportunity for an immediately available Technology Programme Test Manager to join us on an initial 6-month contract, with hybrid working where you must be willing to travel to our Reading office 1-2 day's per week day per week with occasional travel to our Dublin offices which will be fully expensed.(we would also consider applicants to work out of our Dublin offices and with occasional travel to our Reading offices which will be fully expensed)

Purpose of role: Responsible for managing the full project test lifecycle across technical and business work streams, developing and implementing an effective plan to ensure that project test delivery is as per agreed goals within quality, cost and time objectives. Collaborating closely with internal key stakeholders within the function and across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• To plan, control, manage and be accountable for the overall test lifecycle delivery of technology projects to meet the agreed business test and QA needs

• Manage multiple test phases including system testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, operation acceptance testing or any further test phases as deemed fit by the project lifecycle simultaneously to drive test priorities in relation to the overall deliverables within budget and quality standards.

• Responsible for managing all test colleagues both onshore and offshore and where applicable multiple vendors to work towards one common goal for the programme.

• Work closely with the Product Management Team (Snr Product Manager, Product Owner), Project Management teams, Business teams, solution architects, business analysts, vendor teams and test teams.

• Maintain detailed test artefacts including timelines, test strategies plans, and budget for all project deliverables/milestones by adapting a Risk-based testing approach.

• Bringing in efficiency to include highly skilled manual testing as well as automation testing in alignment with Primark’s overall capability of test automation, leveraging and reusing existing technology to save time and cost

• Effective management of risks and issues including timely escalation where appropri-ate

• Maintain testing lessons learned logs and use the data to assist in improving future de-livery

• Establish and maintain good relationships with business and technology colleagues and delivery partners, resolving conflicting priorities or issues as they arise.

Essential knowledge, skills, and experience:

• 12+ years of Test Programme management experience delivering complex solutions

• Experience of working with retail systems is essential

• Highly experienced in writing test strategy which should include both functional and non-functional areas, including budgets and test environments.

• Proficient in using market leaders for testing tool such as JIRA, ALM, Zephyr, Load-runner, JMETER, Neo load etc.

• Experience in setting up of automation test framework and automated regression tests

• Proficient in working in Waterfall, Hybrid and agile methodology

• ITIL, CATS and Six Sigma desirable

• Strong experience in managing senior business users

• Demonstrable problem-solving skills

• Possess excellent planning, organisation skills

• Excellent communication skills, with significant experience working across complex organisational structures

• Previous experience with working with offshore test team is mandatory

• Ability to travel as and when required
