Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Test & Inspection Engineer (Controls / Automation) in Braintree to test and inspect motion control panels, motors, cables and connectors. You will fault-find on new panels and customer returns and perform Portable Appliance Testing to uphold safety standards.

The role offers an early finish on Fridays, a generous bonus scheme, training and clear progression into other areas of the business, with a salary in the £40k–£43k range plus £51k OTE and

In this role you will be responsible for the testing and inspecting of motion control panels. This will range from fault finding on newly manufactured panels to customer returns and will also involve testing motors, cables and connectors. You will carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and liaise with Engineers to resolve quality issues to uphold company standards.

This company has been operating for over 3 decades, becoming well established in the automation industry and manufacture control panels. They are experiencing rapid growth and have developed a great reputation with their customers and are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to help grow this reputation further.

This role would suit a Test and Inspection Engineer with a background in Controls or Automation looking to join a company that will look after you and reward you with a generous bonus scheme and working hours.

The Role:

• Inspection and testing of control panels, motors, cables and connectors
• Fault finding on newly manufactured panels and customer returns to ensure safety
• Carry out Portable Appliance Testing
• Liaise with Engineers to resolve quality issues and uphold company standards
• Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-4:30pm and Friday 8:30am-12:30pm
