Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Knutsford is seeking an Automation Engineer with PLC programming experience to lead the design and development of PLC and PCB control systems. You will also produce PC software alongside HMI interfaces, and you will test, fault find and commission control systems, mostly from the office with occasional customer site visits.

The role offers a £50,000 - £60,000 salary plus a 10% bonus, life assurance, private healthcare, medical and flexitime, with clear routes

Are you an Automation Engineer with PLC programming experience, look looking for a fully autonomous role as the go-to technical expert in your field, with clear routes to progress to a Team Leader role where you can build and mould a team around you?

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and upgrading both PLC and PCB control systems alike. You will also produce PC software alongside HMI development.
