Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Test & Inspection Engineer (Controls / Automation) in Braintree. The role offers a salary of £40,000 - £43,000 with a 51K OTE, £8,000 bonus, and an early Friday finish.

You will test and inspect motion control panels and perform PAT testing, ensuring safety and quality across the manufacturing process. This role suits engineers with a controls or automation background who want stability, progression opportunities, and a supportive team in a thriving

Qualifications

• Experience as a Test & Inspection Engineer or similar.
• Background in controls or automation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test control panels, motors, cables and connectors.
• Fault find on newly manufactured panels and customer returns to ensure safety.
• Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve quality issues and uphold standards.
• Work Monday to Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, Friday 8:30am-12:30pm.
