Job summary

Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturer specialising in the design, build and testing of control panels and assembled electrical units. You will test and inspect panels, fault-find on builds, and help ensure safety and performance standards are met.

You will work closely with production and engineering teams, follow test procedures using software and hardware, and maintain clear records of outcomes.

Qualifications

The Role

This role is of key importance to the continued growth and quality standards of the business. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience testing and fault‑finding electrical control panels, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem‑solving. You'll work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure every panel leaving the factory meets the highest standards of safety and performance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Testing and inspecting control panels and assembled electrical units
• Fault finding on built, wired and assembled control panels
• Identifying potential problems with the design and build of control panels
• Following and executing test procedures using both software and hardware
• Creating accurate records and documentation of all test procedures and outcomes
• Maintaining quality control procedures whilst adhering to safe working practices
• Liaising with production and engineering teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement

What You'll Need

• Experience testing and fault‑finding electrical control panels or assembled electrical units
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
• A methodical, detail-focused approach with a strong commitment to accuracy
• Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety and quality standards
• Well organised, self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good timekeeping and attendance
• Computer literate, with the ability to communicate and record information effectively
• Able to communicate at all levels with a "can do" attitude
• Willing to develop your skillset and progress within the business
• Must be eligible to work in the UK, as our client does not hold a sponsorship licence
