Job summary

Adsys Controls is seeking a Test Engineer in Irvine, CA with 2–5 years of testing experience. You will own test plans, develop fixtures, and drive system testing across high-energy lasers and optical sensors.

This hands-on role requires strong scripting and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure product readiness. You will work with Windows/Linux, SolidWorks CAD, and Python/C/C++ to design tests, analyze results, and deliver robust test reports.

Qualifications

• B.S. or MS in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 2–5 years experience with at least 2 years in test.
• Experience with precision optical systems or mechanisms is preferred.
• Ability to write detailed test procedures and learn new systems quickly.
• Experience with Windows and Linux platforms and test automation scripting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and execute test plans and procedures for major product lines.
• Design and build test fixtures and support equipment.
• Develop, code, test and debug testing scripts and software.
• Coordinate and direct testing through development to production.
• Provide postproduction support and interface with hardware/software teams.
• Mentor teammates and assist with hiring and training.
