Job summary

Salience Labs seeks a hands-on System Test Lead to define, build and operate our system test capability for photonic switching in AI networks. You will design test strategies, implement complex optical and electronic measurement setups, and automate data capture to accelerate learning cycles.

You will collaborate across Photonics, Electronics, Firmware and Product teams to ensure test outputs meet high-bandwidth, low-latency requirements and drive a culture of disciplined execution in lab

Qualifications

• Hands-on lab testing of complex optical/electronic setups.
• Ability to build, debug and optimise measurement systems.
• Automate test workflows and data capture pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design system level test strategy for photonic switching platform.
• Build and maintain optical/electronic measurement setups focusing on stability and safety.
• Automate test sequences and data pipelines to reduce manual overhead.
• Communicate test readiness, critical paths and parallel work.
• Create plans and prioritisation frameworks aligned with engineering constraints.
• Improve test processes by reducing waste and anticipating failure modes.
• Collaborate with Photonics, Electronics, Firmware and Product teams to meet performance requirements.
• Drive disciplined execution with clear commercial end goals.
• Help shape and lead the function with accuracy before formal management.
