Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking an SQA Test and Development Engineer to join our firmware development team.

The SQA Test and Development Engineers are responsible for testing our products throughout their development stages and investigating any issues reported by customers.

These tests are crucial to our development process. You will collaborate closely with the firmware team to ensure thorough testing, systematic recording of results, and feedback to product owners.

The ideal candidate will enjoy solving problems creatively and practically, have a keen interest in electrical and electronic devices, and possess strong attention to detail, record-keeping, and organizational skills.

Candidates should have experience working with electrical/electronic devices, safely working at mains voltages, and performing measurements on PCBs.

This role is suitable for a graduate engineer or early-career professional seeking responsibility and growth opportunities in hardware and firmware development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain test cases and plans for feature and regression testing.
• Participate in scrum teams, refine user stories, and define test cases to meet acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers for white box testing and failure analysis.
• Accurately record test outcomes and detail software defects.
• Prepare detailed reports for engineers, customers, and third parties.
• Create test scenarios to replicate and verify reported system behaviors.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in software quality assurance testing within a team.
• Understanding of SQA principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python, C#, LUA).
• Experience testing electrical/electronic equipment, including basic fault finding.
