We're hiring a Junior PHP Software Developer to join our remote IT team. The ideal candidate should reside within a commutable distance to either our Head Office in Doncaster or near our sites in Winsford or Gloucester.

The Developer is part of an agile development team building and working on enterprise grade software systems on top of a PHP/MySQL development stack.

As a Software Developer you will be involved in all areas of development from design to development to testing.

Reporting to the PHP Software Development Manager the duties and responsibilities include:

(PHP Software Development)

• Working with an agile team to develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based business applications
• Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software
• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
• Participating in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
• Working with teammates in the migration of older applications to current technologies
• Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications
• Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
• Developing Software in the required LAMP stack
• Package and support deployment of releases
• Analysing and resolving technical and application problems
• Providing second-level support to business users
• Assisting in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates
