Join Barclays as a Test Automation Lead, where you'll be part of the Wholesale Lending team responsible for establishing best practice standards around test automation. This includes input into solution design for testability and creating testing scenarios.

To be successful as a Test Automation Lead, you should have experience with:

• Setting up automated testing solutions, establishing best practices, and coaching testers.
• Programming in Core Java, Collections, OOPS concepts, Exception Handling, SQL, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, Git.
• Working in agile teams to define and implement suitable automated testing solutions based on user stories and stakeholder input.

Additional valued skills may include:

• Understanding of lending products, especially how they are priced.
• Structured problem-solving approaches and managing parallel streams of work.
• Knowledge of Performance testing and security testing.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability.

Accountabilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure quality standards.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools for early defect detection.
• Collaborate with teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and develop acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects, working closely with developers for resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry trends and contribute to technology communities.
