Job summary

Speedy, the UK & Ireland’s leading hire provider, is looking for a Test and Run Technician in Erith. You will perform basic electrical and functionality testing, service and clean returned hire items, and help ensure they are safe and presentable for the next customer.

This role offers training and a clear career path within our award-winning in-house training program, with a focus on quality, safety and customer service. Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00, 42 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical skills (12/24v).
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to use tools effectively.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Previous experience working within the hire industry or other engineering field is desirable.
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical and functionality testing on returned hire equipment.
• Service and clean products returned from hire.
• Ensure equipment is safe and presentable for the next customer.

Job Title - Test and Run Technician

Location - Erith

Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

The role of a Test and Run Technician is a busy and productive role in the depot, performing basic electrical and functionality testing as well as servicing and cleaning products returned from hire to ensure they are safe and presentable, ready for the next customer to take away.
