Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Test and Development Support Technician in Pitstone, Hertfordshire. This hybrid role involves supporting, installing and maintaining engineering test rigs used to validate electrical motors and generators across applications in aerospace.

You will assist engineers with tests, set up new equipment and ensure parts stay running to meet diverse customer requirements, while following strict HSE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualifications related to wiring, electrical or electronics are essential.
• Experience or ability to operate machining centres such as CNC and manual mills, lathes, grinders.
• Safe working practices and strong HSE adherence are essential.
• Desirable: experience with plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Desirable: experience with test equipment like gauges and meters.

Responsibilities

Test and Development Support Technician

Role overview:

As a Test and Development Support Technician at Pitstone you will be providing support, installation and maintenance to our Engineering Test Rigs. These systems are used to test and validate our Electrical Motors and Electrical Generators used across a range of applications in the Aerospace industry. You will support the Engineers in this department to set up tests, new equipment and help to make parts and equipment to keep them running for different customer requirements.

Requirements:

• Engineering qualifications like Wiring Regs, Mechanical apprenticeships, NVQs, or Electrical or Electronics Qualifications or other relevant to the role - Essential
• Ability to use or learn Machining centres, such as CNC and Manual; Mills, Lathes, Grinders etc - Essential
• Safe working and good attitude to HSE requirements - Essential
• Experience with plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics - Desirable
• Experience with test equipment like Gauges, Meters, and Tools - Desirable
