Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Pitstone, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Test and Development Support Technician to install, operate and maintain engineering test rigs used on aerospace projects. You will help set up tests, adapt equipment for customer requirements and support engineers in daily test activities.

This hybrid role emphasizes safe working practices, hands-on machining and fault diagnosis with CNC and manual mills and lathes.

Qualifications

• Essential: Engineering qualifications (Wiring Regs, NVQs, or Electrical/Electronics)
• Essential: Ability to use Learning machining centres (CNC & Manual) and basic workshop equipment
• Essential: Safe working and good attitude to HSE requirements
• Desirable: Experience with plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics
• Desirable: Experience with test equipment like gauges, meters and tools

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up tests on engineering test rigs for electrical motors/generators
• Provide installation and maintenance support to test rigs
• Support Engineers in preparing and running tests for customer requirements
• Help to fabricate or modify parts to keep equipment running
