Job summary

Howdens Joinery are recruiting a Territory Sales Representative to grow local customer accounts across a defined territory. This field-based role offers autonomy to win new business, nurture trade customers, and drive sustainable growth through strong relationships and teamwork.

You will work with depot teams to build account spend, introduce new customers to the Howdens model, and manage inquiries end-to-end while upholding Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business or working in a target-driven sales role.
• Confident engaging trade customers from first conversation.
• Self-motivated, resilient with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to build product and service knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Winning new business by approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Building and growing the account base across your territory, supporting each depot’s performance.
• Introducing new customers to the Howdens model and articulating how it works.
• Collaborating with depot teams to build account spend and drive more frequent trading.
• Building lasting relationships with new and existing account holders.
• Taking ownership of customer enquiries from first contact through to resolution.
• Participating in team meetings with performance updates and ideas.
• Keeping data accurate and up to date and ensuring visibility across activity and pipeline.
• Working safely and in line with Health & Safety standards.
