Job summary

Parkside School in Bradford, part of Coast and Vale Learning Trust, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with pupils across the curriculum. You will support students individually or in small groups, work with the SEND Hub team, and help them access the curriculum while fostering independence and confidence.

This term-time only role (32.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri) emphasizes safeguarding, inclusive practice, and collaboration with teachers and parents.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
• Experience of working directly with young people.
• Clear understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check and training.
• Collaborative, professional team player with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Support students individually or in small groups to access the curriculum and build independence.
• Assist teachers with differentiated activities and SEN interventions.
• Promote positive relationships and monitor student safety.
• Provide administrative support and supervise during breaks and before/after school.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and participate in training.
