Job summary

i Direct Independent Living is looking for confident Support Workers to help a bright young man build independence, develop life skills and access meaningful opportunities in his local community. The role focuses on promoting social engagement, communication and community inclusion.

It also supports his sensory needs through movement and outdoor activities. Hours are 09:30–15:30, term-time; full-time roles can be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with SEN and complex needs.
• Knowledge of complex epilepsy.

This role focuses on promoting social engagement, communication, and community inclusion. Supporting his sensory needs through movement and activity is an important part of the role, as he is an active young person with lots of energy and enjoys being outdoors.

We're looking for individuals who are engaging, have a good sense of humour, and can communicate clearly and consistently.

Experience supporting young people with SEN and complex needs is essential, along with knowledge of complex epilepsy.

We have supported people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions to live independently in their own homes for over a decade. We have no external shareholders. The people we support, and the people doing the supporting, are who we answer to.

This position is term-time only. The hours are 09:30am - 15:30pm between Monday to Friday. Full-time positions with iDirect are available, and can be discussed at interview.
