About Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the 'Care in the Community' agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we've remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Working closely with the Service Leader and the Support Worker team, you will be responsible for two co-tenants in their 40s who have lived together at this service for many years. We have a positive relationship but lead very different day-to-day lives. Our support needs are individual, and we each require dedicated 1:1 support from separate staff teams.

Our Support Needs & Challenges

Both tenants require consistent 1:1 support throughout the day. One tenant is very active, has a rolling gait, follows a SALT plan for safety, and has an epilepsy diagnosis. Strong family involvement is an important part of their life, so maintaining good communication with relatives is essential.

The other tenant also has epilepsy, with frequent seizures, so confidence and training in epilepsy management is vital. A behavioural support plan is in place and must be followed. This tenant has their own vehicle, so support staff must be able to drive.

What is important to us?
  • What are our interests? - We enjoy our own space, staff company, visiting the community including club 25, playing games with staff like puzzles, watching cartoons, playing with toys and teddy's..
  • How do we describe ourselves? We are all friendly, vocal and happy people.
  • What types of people would we get along with and not get along so well with? Someone who likes to laugh, has motivation and does not mind singing and dancing or loud noises.
Our Shifts:

Our day shifts start from 8am and finish at 10pm sometimes there are shorter days available to cover two to ones. Our sleep shifts starts at 11pm and finishes at 8 am

Shift Requirement:

We are currently recruiting for day shifts and night shifts

Contract:

1 x Part-time permanent contract available (18 hours per week)

UK Driving License Required?

For day shifts, yes (for driving house vehicle). Driving license not required for night shifts.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be supporting two adults to live their daily life in the way they wants to live it. This means you will provide support in a wide variety of ways, including:

  • Supporting with personal care
  • Medication Administration
  • Home management, including support with cooking, cleaning, shopping and budget management
  • Daily activities - anything and everything the person we support like to do is something you might provide support with! So come ready and willing to put yourself out there and try some new things!
