Job summary

Hazel Grove High School is seeking a Senior Science Technician to support the science department across KS3–KS5. You will prepare experiments, ensure equipment safety and availability, and assist in developing other technicians. The role is term-time only and offers flexible arrangements as part of a dynamic school team.

The successful candidate will have maths/english GCSEs and a science A‑Level, with prior experience in a similar role and broad knowledge of biology, chemistry and physics.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at minimum standard.
• At least 1 A‑Level in science.
• Experience in a similar technician role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient technician support to the science department.
• Prepare practical lessons to high standards and maintain equipment safely.
• Support leadership and development of other technicians.
