Job summary

Bridge Academy Trust is seeking a Senior Science Technician at The Ramsey Academy in Halstead to support science staff with curriculum delivery. The role requires experience in a laboratory setting, excellent planning and time management, and the ability to operate preparation rooms and manage stock.

The position is 30 hours per week, term time plus inset days, permanent, with a salary scale 5 (actual £18,645–£19,561 per annum). DBS clearance will be sought for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a laboratory setting is essential.
• Excellent planning and time management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• The operation and maintenance of the preparation rooms.
• Timely and effective preparation and delivery of substances, equipment and resources.
• Stock control and placing orders to meet teaching and learning needs.
• Provide support during lessons with practical demonstrations when needed.
