Veritas Education Recruitment are seeking a Science Technician for an independent secondary school in Harrow. You will support the science department during practicals and occasionally class sessions, helping to prepare materials and equipment and ensure safety.

You should hold a science-based degree, have a valid DBS certificate, and experience in an educational setting. You will join a supportive team with term-time or full-time options at a daily rate of 95–105 GBP.

Qualifications

• Science based degree is essential.
• Previous experience within a laboratory.
• Experience working within an educational setting (e.g. working with children).
• MUST have a Valid DBS Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and equipment for science lessons.
• Carry out risk assessments.
• Monitor stock and dispose of waste properly.
• Support students during practical sessions.
