Job summary

Randstad Staffing partners with a Bromley FE college to recruit a compassionate Learning Support Assistant and First Aider who will support learners with SEN.

This role focuses on helping students achieve EHCP targets, providing educational and personal care support, and acting as the designated first aider on site during term-time.

The college offers a supportive environment with assistive technologies, with a requirement for Level 2 English and Maths and First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Essential First Aid certification (or willingness to gain)
• Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Understanding of safeguarding and supporting learners with SEN

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored educational, personal development and accessibility support to learners with SEN across diverse curriculum areas.
• Act as a designated College First Aider, responding to campus medical needs and ensuring learner safety.
• Support learners with personal care, mobility needs, and well-being with dignity and respect.
• Assist in delivering EHCP outcomes and person-centred support plans.
• Help students develop self-advocacy, study skills and confidence to access college services.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external key workers to update support plans and report progression
