Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking Educational Health Care Assistants to support pupils in specialist SEN school settings in Preston. This agency-based, 0-hour role offers flexibility with potential for permanent contracts for reliable staff.

You will work with staff to support personal care and classroom activities, helping pupils with autism and complex needs in a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or education is essential.
• A patient, compassionate, and professional approach.
• Willingness to support with personal care and manual handling (training provided).
• Good communication and teamworking skills.
• A proactive attitude and ability to adapt in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding and hygiene routines.
• Assist in delivering classroom-based learning and therapeutic activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
• Promote pupils' physical, emotional, and social development in line with their EHCPs.
• Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who may have autism, complex medical needs, or physical disabilities.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
