Stradbroke High School seeks a part-time Science Technician & First Aid Coordinator to support and maintain the laboratory, preparation room, equipment and consumables. The post-holder will coordinate our first aid provision across the school and work within the Science Department.

The role is 25 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week, with ASAP start. We value practical expertise, reliability and proactive coordination of safety and teaching resources to ensure high-quality science education for

Qualifications

• Ability to solve straightforward problems.
• Exchange information with pupils, teachers and other technicians.
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for lab work.
• Work from instructions with some initiative; limited supervision.
• Careful handling of expensive equipment.
• May keep basic financial records.
• Coordinate first aid supplies and staff training; provide student first aid.

Responsabilités

• Support and maintain the laboratory, preparation room, equipment and consumables.
• Coordinate first aid provision and staff training; liaise with trip leaders to provide medical information and arrange staff first aid rota.
• Ensure safe use of expensive laboratory equipment.
• Prepare materials for science teaching as required.
