Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager to run Parkgate Junior School in Watford. The role is term-time only, Monday to Friday, with no weekends, delivering nutritionally balanced and tasty meals to pupils and staff. You will supervise staff, manage inventory and budgets, and liaise with the school and Caterlink to drive improvements.

The position pays £14.50 per hour, 27.5 hours weekly across 38 weeks per year, with a focus on quality, safety and service excellence in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in school catering is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations are met.
• Maintain Caterlink's reputation for quality food and service with the client and customers.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the location and supervise teams, inventories and budgets.
• Be the main client contact at the school and implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with your line manager.
