Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager at Leavesden Green Primary School to provide nutritionally balanced and tasty meals within term time, Monday to Friday. The role involves preparing, cooking and presenting meals to Caterlink and client standards, while ensuring health and safety and food safety compliance.

You will oversee day-to-day running, supervise staff, manage inventories and budgets, and act as the main contact for the school client, driving improvements and maintaining excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef manager in a catering environment.
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets.
• Term-time availability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the location, including inventories and budgets.
• Act as main contact for the school client and drive improvements.
• Regularly communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Train and support teams to ensure high performance.
