Job summary

Norwood Primary School, Peterborough is seeking a Chef Manager to deliver nutritionally balanced, tasty meals during term time, with no weekends. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, paying £15 per hour.

You will lead and train kitchen teams, supervise inventories and budgets, ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety standards, liaise with the client, monitor KPIs, and drive service improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading kitchen teams in a catering environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to manage budgets and inventories in a school catering context.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety compliance and environmental legislation.
• Lead day-to-day operations of the location and supervise teams, inventories and budgets.
• Be the main point of contact for the client at the school and implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with line management and drive training.
• Support and train teams to excel in their roles.
