Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager at Norwood Primary School, Peterborough. The role is term-time only with 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, with salaries at £16 per hour.

You will lead the school location, ensuring nutritious meals and compliance with health and safety standards, while managing budgets and staff. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, liaise with the client, monitor KPIs, and support staff training to deliver high-quality catering

Qualifications

• To provide nutritionally balanced and tasty meals.
• To lead and supervise kitchen staff and maintain team performance.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
• Manage day-to-day running of the location, budgets and action plans.
• Be the main client contact at the school and drive improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with your line manager.
• Provide training and support to teams to maintain high service levels.
