Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager at St Peters CofE Primary, Wisbech to provide nutritionally balanced, tasty meals during term time. The role offers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, with no weekend work.

You will lead kitchen operations, ensure health and safety compliance, manage inventories and budgets, and act as the main client contact to drive improvements and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and presenting meals to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ability to monitor health, safety and food safety compliance.
• Proven track record of maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals to Caterlink/client standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations.
• Enhance Caterlink's reputation through excellent food and service.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the site, supervise teams, manage inventories and budgets.
• Be the main contact for the client in the school and implement improvements.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets.
• Train and support teams, lead from the front to ensure high performance.
