Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is recruiting a School Crossing Patrol Officer at Litchard Terrace. The role operates during term time with fixed morning and afternoon shifts, and a uniform is provided. You will help children cross safely, manage pedestrian flow, and receive full training and ongoing support.

Salary is shown per hour (£13.45) with part-time contractual hours. The position requires availability on school days and a DBS check as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Traffic awareness and sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to commit to a term-time role.
• Availability to work on all school days when open.

Responsibilities

• Stop traffic to assist pedestrians to cross the road.
• Look out for potential hazards near the crossing area.
• Help educate children on road safety issues.
• Full training will be provided along with one-to-one support at the start of employment.
