Job summary

Thurrock Council is seeking a School Crossing Patrol to help children and pedestrians cross roads safely at designated points. The role is permanent-term-time with up to 10 hours weekly, pro rata pay (£13.07/hour, about £25,221 p.a. if full-time equivalent applies).

DBS enhanced with Children’s Barred List is required. Applications close mid-October, with dates set for redeployment and internal closures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of children and other pedestrians crossing the road at designated points by stopping traffic in a safe manner.
• Posts located at various sites throughout Thurrock with up to 10 hours per week, term-time only.
• Role is 10 hours per week/term time only.
