Job summary

ISS Facilities Services is hiring part-time Catering Assistants for schools in the Bognor Regis area. You will support meal preparation, service and dining area setup while following food safety standards and allergen guidelines.

This term-time only role offers a permanent contract with annualised pay, paid monthly, ensuring a stable income across school holidays. Previous catering or customer-facing experience is welcomed; Enhanced DBS check is arranged by ISS.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding, food safety, and delivering excellent service.
• Ability to follow procedures, and instructions accurately.
• Positive, reliable, and team-focused approach.
• Previous experience in a catering, food service, hospitality, or customer-facing role desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas as required.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Follow allergen, dietary, and special meal requirements.
• Receive, store, and handle food deliveries correctly.
• Operate tills where required.
• Report any health and safety concerns, accidents, or equipment faults.
• Provide a friendly and professional service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Work collaboratively as part of the catering team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
