Job summary

ISS is recruiting for Part Time Catering Assistants at various schools in the area, including Crawley. You will help prepare and serve healthy meals, maintain hygiene standards and follow allergen guidelines. The role is term-time-only with annualised pay, paid monthly, and offers opportunities to learn, develop and grow within a global facilities management company.

Good customer service and a team-focused approach are valued. DBS checks are required and organised by ISS during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Previous catering/food service experience desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and delivering good service.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas as required.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Follow allergen, dietary, and special meal requirements.
• Receive, store and handle food deliveries correctly.
• Operate tills where required.
• Report health and safety concerns or equipment faults.
• Provide friendly and professional service to students, staff and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with the catering team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
