Job summary

ISS Facility Services is seeking a Catering Assistant to support meal preparation, service and dining-area upkeep in a school environment. You’ll help maintain high hygiene standards and follow allergen requirements, while delivering friendly service to students, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, food service, hospitality or customer-facing roles is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and delivering excellent service.
• Ability to follow procedures and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas as required.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Follow allergen, dietary and special meal requirements.
• Receive, store and handle food deliveries correctly.
• Operate tills where required.
• Report health and safety concerns or equipment faults.
• Provide friendly and professional service to students, staff and visitors.
• Work with the catering team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
