Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our school kitchen in Burton upon Trent, handling basic food preparation and delivering friendly, efficient service during the lunchtime rush. You will work Monday to Friday during school term time, 16 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, at £12.71 per hour.

Training is provided for till duties and health and safety practices. A DBS disclosure may be required; commitment to safeguarding is essential; prior catering or fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
• Food hygiene Level 2 is great but not essential as training can be provided

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction on tills during service (training provided)
• Front-line service to students and staff
• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Maintaining a safe, clean kitchen and complying with Health & Safety standards
