Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council seeks a Catering Assistant at St Christopher's School on a permanent, part-time basis. The role is 15 hours per week during term time, focusing on kitchen and dining room duties including basic food prep, cleaning, and serving meals. An Enhanced DBS is required, with bilingual Welsh/English capability welcomed.

You will work under the Cook in Charge, operate the computerised school meals system, and contribute to a clean, safe dining environment for pupils.

Qualifications

• Basic preparation of food and beverages.
• General kitchen and dining room duties including washing up and clearing tables.
• Operation of a computerised school meals administration system.
• An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and beverage prep.
• Support in the dining room and clearing away after meals.
• Operate the school meals admin system as required.
• Follow duties commensurate with the post as instructed by Cook in Charge.
