Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council in Wrexham is seeking a permanent catering assistant to support pupils who attend the breakfast club. The role is 5 hours per week during term time (38 weeks).

You will set up the hall, handle basic kitchen tasks, and supervise children during breakfast, helping with activities and keeping the area tidy. An Enhanced DBS is required, and the council welcomes bilingual applicants and those able to work in English and Welsh.

Responsibilities

• Set up the hall and tables for breakfast and organize resources for activities.
• Carry out general kitchen duties such as cleaning tables and tidying dishes.
• Supervise children during breakfast and assist with activities like games and art.
• Tidy resources and keep the cupboard organized.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Head Chef, commensurate with the role.
