Job summary

School-Home Support is seeking a Family Support Practitioner to work at The Grange Academy, Bushey, delivering a programme of casework to promote educational outcomes and improve attendance, punctuality and engagement.

Based at the setting, you will work in partnership with school staff, engage with parents and carers, and apply safeguarding processes to support children and families. This is a permanent, term-time only post with inset days.

Qualifications

• Experience in an education setting to improve attendance and engagement
• Engagement with parents/carers, children or individuals through one-to-one or group support
• Awareness of factors affecting a child’s ability to learn and safeguarding processes

Responsibilities

• Deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for children and families
• Focus on improving attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning
• Work in partnership with school staff and engage with families from diverse communities
• Uphold safeguarding policies and referral routes for safeguarding children
