Thanet Primary School in Hull is seeking a highly motivated Achievement Support Assistant to join our hardworking staff. This fixed-term role supports a Year 4 pupil with an EHCP, 26.5 hours per week, term time only.

We offer a supportive, friendly team, high expectations, access to the East Riding Pension Fund, training and development opportunities, a wellbeing day, and discounted gym membership. Visits to the school are encouraged.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will support a Year 4 pupil with an EHCP.
• Experience working in a primary school or with SEND pupils is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Set challenging expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
• Promote good pupil behaviour and address conflicts in line with school procedures.
• Support the academic, social, emotional and developmental needs of individuals and groups.
• Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate progress.
• Assist with development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
• Provide feedback to pupils on progress towards learning goals.
• Liaise with safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing staff.
• Provide detailed feedback to teachers on attainment, progress and attitudes.
